Can you access myfans from outside Japan?

Yes. There is no country block. We requested the site from a server in Virginia, United States, and every page returned normally — the homepage, the sign-up page and the terms of service.

The terms of service contain no clause restricting use to residents of Japan. They specify Japanese law and the Tokyo courts, which is standard for a Japanese company, but they do not exclude anyone by location.

The site shows an age confirmation before adult content. That is a single prompt, not a regional restriction.

Is myfans available in English?

Yes, and in five other languages. The interface supports English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

Creator profiles are translated too, so bios written in Japanese are readable in English. Translation is machine-assisted, so expect the occasional oddity — display names in particular are sometimes translated rather than romanised.

What do you need to sign up?

An email address, a password and a display name. That is all. There is no phone number field and no SMS verification at registration, which is the step that blocks most international users on Japanese platforms.

You can also register with an X (Twitter) account instead.

Which payment methods work from outside Japan?

A credit card. In practice that is the only option available to you.

The Japanese-language legal notice lists five payment methods, but four of them — deferred payment at convenience stores, atone, Paidy and BitCash — require a Japanese address or a Japanese phone number. The English-language legal notice lists only two, credit card and Paidy, and Paidy is likewise limited to residents of Japan.

Card payments have a minimum of ¥1,400 and carry a 5% fee. Prepaid cards are not accepted.

Will a foreign card actually be accepted?

Usually. Adult platforms often decline foreign-issued cards because cross-border adult transactions are scored as high risk, so this is a reasonable thing to worry about — but myfans has built for it.

The English legal notice names a separate entity for international payment processing, Tokuneko UK Limited, alongside addresses in the United States, Bulgaria and the United Kingdom. A merchant does not set up that structure unless it intends to accept cards issued outside its home country.

Two caveats worth knowing. Card brands required myfans to collect a name and phone number at checkout, so you will be asked for both. And Visa and Mastercard were suspended on the platform at one point and only restored in April 2025, so the payment path is functional rather than bulletproof.

Is myfans a legitimate service?

It is a registered Japanese business. The operator is Rise Inc., based in Shibuya, Tokyo, and the company publishes a legal notice under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions — a disclosure Japanese law requires of online sellers.

It also holds a notification for adult video transmission with the Chiba Prefectural Public Safety Commission, number 121. That is the registration Japanese law requires for this category of business.

Purchases are final. The legal notice states that cancellations and refunds are not granted after a contract is concluded, for any reason.
